Sooo... have any of you heard of the Midnight Channel? It used to be a huge thing: on a foggy night, you would turn your TV off and at midnight, you'd find your soulmate.

I did, but the whole thing was a hoax! The thing that I saw on the screen was definitely not my soulmate.

That reminds me, though. As a detective, I have something of an interest in unique criminal cases. I recall there were some truly fascinating murders a few years back that had been investigated by Naoto Shirogane, in a small town... that was where the two of you met, wasn't it?

Huh? [...] Yeah, there was, but what about it?

[ She's not sure how she feels about this line of questioning. ]

Of course, the killer was uncovered, but the reports were all very vague on the subject of his methodology...

If we're talking about rumors, I was wondering if you heard any rumors about how he did it.

I haven't heard anything about that. And just because I'm friends with Naoto-kun doesn't mean that she tells me anything about murder cases.

Sorry. Of course not. Please excuse my enthusiasm. I have my own little pet theory, but I'd imagine that's best saved for the detective herself.
